Killyhevlin Hotel Leisure Suite

Context:
The Killyhevlin Health Club and Elemis Spa is one of Northern Ireland’s Premier Health Clubs, with a superb indoor swimming pool that is surmounted by a vaulted ceiling. In order to create a distinctively aqueous mood, a bespoke lighting system was required that would match and enhance the clean, clinical lines of the pool area.
Specification:
65 metres of continuous linear Cold Cathode Lighting (CCL) was required to be concealed into coves of the vaulted ceiling above the swimming pool. The CCL system would project a Brilliant Blue hue in order to imbue a calming effect and to capture the water-based nature of the venue. Given its location directly over the swimming pool, it was vital that the lighting system carry a long life expectancy and minimise the need for maintenance.
A fully dimmable solution was required, so that the lighting levels, and hence the atmosphere of the pool area could be adjusted throughout the day.
Solution:
The low maintenance CCL, manufactured and installed by AM Light, emits a Brilliant Blue colour that perfectly complements the ambience of this setting.
